The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre is a confidential, free drop-in service for anyone affected by cancer, including patients, carers, health and social care professionals, staff and the general public. The service offers the opportunity for people to talk to us in confidence about any questions or concerns in a supportive, private and relaxing environment. Our support includes: • Counselling; face to face 1-1 counselling service for cancer patients and their relatives/carers • Information about all aspects of cancer • Referrals and signposting to benefits, financial and work advice • Practical advice and support • Signposting to local support groups • Signposting to other health and wellbeing services. While the centre is run on a drop-in basis, appointments are offered for benefits advice and for counselling.
